  4.  Hand on experience of using Microsoft Word (Start the application, Setting font, its size and style, save and create document file, open and print a file, exit the word application): Introduction to uni code.

Course Contents:

  1.  Identify the components of the desktop.

  2. Arrange the icons on the desktop.

  3. Customize windows.

  4. Identify the parts of windows.

  5. Open and scroll through a windows.

  6. Move, maximize, resize and close a window.

  7. Identify the purpose of the commands on the start menu.

  8. Add a printer and add or remove programs.

  9. Start, switch to or end a task by using the Task Manager.

  10. Perform calculations and set the date and time.

  11. Turn off the computer.

  12. View the contents of your computer by using My computer.

  13. View the hierarchical structure of the contents by using windows Explorer.

  14. Create and rename folders and files.

  15. Select copy and move folders and files.

  16. Compress files and extract compressed files.

  17. Format floppy disks and pen drives.
